Abstrakt:
The modern world has recently been undergoing several serious problems, which have arisen under the influence and as an effect of globalization phenomenon and the integration processes in Europe. They seem to have considerably changed the vision of a contemporary state. The paper touches upon and discusses some of these changes which have taken place under the influence of such globalization and integration effects as great people migrations, free capital flow, loss of influence on national economy, etc. In Europe the institution of a state, following the integration processes, has also been undergoing many modifications connected with the regionalization and autonomization of territorial division units. The article presents deliberations on the main spheres in which the European integration processes run and change a modern state: economic, political, military and cultural. Preserving cultural identity in the face of attenuation of national states seems to be one of the most important issues in this context. All these phenomena cause the necessity of modifying the vision of the modern state’s functions and enforce implementing essential changes into the national constitutions.
